M Car Trading officially opened in September 2003, simultaneously with the launching of the Outlander model in Romania. In 2004, the first year when M Car Trading represented Mitsubishi Motors brand a growth of 144% was recorded, being the most significant evolution of any auto importer in the Romanian automotive market.
This was merely the first step on an ascending path, concretized, in 2008 with a market share of 1.3%, double compared with the company’s debut, and a turnover of 77,292,566 Euros. These results have their origin in the indisputable qualities of Mitsubishi Motors products, but also in the services offered by M Car Trading, which initiated actions to increase the popularity of the brand and its models, some of which were making their premiere in the Romanian auto landscape. It is demonstrated by the promotional program for non 4x4 models, which unfolded after the Colt model won the "Car of the Year" title in Romania. The results are proven by the fact that in 2003 only three units were sold, compared with a total of 758 units by the end of 2008.
At the same time, the exceptional results we have been talking about were also achieved thanks to the network and the team, which have crystallized in time, with the network of Mitsubishi Motors dealers continually developing, and now totaling 20 authorized Mitsubishi Motors partners and 32 showrooms that cover all Romania.
